For the Christmas campaign of Coca Cola in Athens, together with the Greek agency IMDB we prepared an Augmented Reality application with an animated Santa Clause (3D).

Interactive totems with a camera and a touch screen allowed the users to take a photo with the animated Santa Clause and then print the photograph using the same device. Motion sensors allowed the passers-by to interact with the digitally generated Santa Clause, who appeared on the screen as soon as the system noticed a new user.

Apart from printing the photograph, users could share it on Facebook. After logging in the service using the touch screen on the totem, the user could post the photo on his wall together with Christmas wishes from the organizers of the campaign.

The campaign lasted for 12 days and took place simultaneously in 4 shopping malls in Athens. It generated over 5500 photographs and more than 300 shares on Facebook.
